The Complete Grand Illinois Trail Guidebook is a one-stop reference resource for the Grand Illinois Trail system. The Guidebook is a great overview of the trail system and its parts. The Grand Illinois Trail is broken into four large sections: North, South, East and West. Each section contains all the information pertinent to the Grand Illinois Trail: notes on local trails (named subsections), road routes, side features, maps, photos and useful resources.

The Grand Illinois Trail is a loop trail, so you can pick it up or leave it at any point. Subsection descriptions of trails may be found going in either direction. Simply reverse the description details if you are taking the Grand Illinois Trail in the opposite direction.
