Click image for larger detailWhat's a Pocket Ride?Pocket Rides are pocket-sized waterproof cards each showing one loop bike rides, usually 12 - 50 miles long. Every card has a map, turn-by-turn directions, and ride description. Routes are carefully chosen for their gorgeous scenery, pleasant roads, and interesting sights such as ice cream shops, swimming spots, conservation land, bridges, scenic views, farm stands, and historic and natural landmarks.Where do the rides start? So that fewer people have to drive to the ride, all Pocket Rides start at bike paths, MBTA Commuter Rail stations, or ferry landings. Bicycles can be taken on the Commuter Rail for free (www.mbta.com or 617-222-3200), on ferries for a small charge, and on most Western Massachusetts PVTA buses for free.
