The Des Plaines Division is located along the east bank of the Des Plaines River in northwest Cook County. The trail commences at the Lake-Cook County line and continues until it becomes the Indian Boundary Division Trail. The Des Plaines River Division has some 4,100 acres enveloping the Des Plaines River Valley. The trail varies from 5 to 10 feet wide.Setting: Wooded, Open Spaces, Wetlands
