The Heart of Iowa Nature Trail runs from Melbourne to Slater, and was built on abandoned railbed. There are significant prairie remnants east of Slater, heavily wooded tracts near Cambridge and Maxwell and wetland areas west of Cambridge. Between Collins and Rhodes, you'll cross over the Hoy Bridge, a massive concrete arch bridge built in 1912. It's 212 feet in length and 60 feet high.Setting: Wooded, Prairie, Wetlands
