The Raccoon River Valley Trail is located towns of Waukee and Yale. The trail winds through the Raccoon River Greenbelt. You have the opportunity to tour six communities without leaving the trail, plus enjoy the prairie remnants, bottom land timber and wildlife habitat. There is an additional 13-miles of trails from Jefferson to south of Cooper, leaving a gap north of Yale of less than 5 miles. The trail is being extended to Clive, and from Yale to Herndon and Jeffeson to the north.Setting: Wooded, Prairie, Farmland
