The River City Greenbelt & Trail System consists of 3 trails: River City Trail - 8.5 miles, paved, crushed limestone & city streets; Trolley Trail - 5 miles, asphalt; Winnebago Trail - 2 miles, crushed limestone. The River City Trail links Milligan and East Parks with cultural attractions of Mason City and its downtown areas. It follows along an abandoned railroad bed, parks and city streets. The downtown Riverwalk Trail is lighted. The Winnebago Trail proceeds along the Winnebago River to the Lime Creek Nature Center, and offers picturesque views of the river's limestone bluffs as it transverses meadows and woods.Setting: Wooded, Open Spaces, Urban
