The Shell Rock River Trail is located in north central Iowa connecting the towns of Shell Rock and Clarksville. The trail follows the Shell Rock River valley and was built on abandoned railbed. Much of the trail is lined with prairie grasses, and the surrounding area is abundant with wildlife.Setting: Wooded, Prairie, Farmland
