Trail Notes: Three Rivers Trail is located in north central Iowa, and was built on abandoned railbed between the towns of Rolfe and Eagle Grove. The eastern portion of the trail passes through shrubby grasslands, marshy areas and open prairie. The trail has an abundance of remnant prairie sites with many species of wild flowers and grasses. Trail amenities include shelter houses, restrooms, access parking lots and picnic areas along the route. The trail crosses 36 railway bridges. There is a spur from the trail to Gotch State Park.Setting: Wooded, Open Spaces
