The Wapsi-Great Western Line is built on abandoned railbed and runs through the Wapsipinicon River corridor. The trail traverses hilltops and rolling landscapes, native prairie and timbered areas. The 12-miles of trail now open is crushed limestone. Plans are to extend the trail to Minnesota's Shooting Star Trail.Setting: Wooded, Open Spaces, Prairie
